Ruma is located in the center of flat and fertile Srem, located between the Danube and the Sava, at the foot of the beautiful Fruška Gora. The area of Ruma is 582 square kilometers. A special geographical curiosity is that the 45th parallel passes through it, and it is only fifteen kilometers west of the 20th meridian. The city center lies at 111 m above sea level. It is about 55 km away from Belgrade, 35 km from Novi Sad, about 45 km from Nikola Tesla Airport.
